The collection consists chiefly of correspondence much of which was generated by Moffitt's position as poetry editor of America. Topics include poetry, work submitted to him, Thomas Merton, and his hobby of iris growing. Of interest are letters from a Cambodian refugee in Canada. The collection also contains proofs and/or drafts of Adam's choice, Malcolm or Clarissa, Now is the moment, The road to now, and Signal message; the manuscript of John Moffitt: the poetry of a changed life, by Frank Lonergan, and a review of Journey to Gorakhpur by Thomas Matus. Bradley, Charles Andrew Brady, Joseph Campbell, James Finn Cotter, Barry Fell, Andrew Moran Greeley, Alan Bede Griffiths, Jean Leclercq, Sue Davidson Low, Frank Lonergan, Mech Sary, Richard Moore, K.L.
